On-going Immunization Action Coalition of Washington (IACW) activities
- Host quarterly meetings to highlight pertinent immunization issues (e.g. H1N1 or parental vaccine hesitancy).
- Distribute immunization materials such as Plain Talk About Childhood Immunizations and the ACIP Recommended Childhood Immunization Schedule (pdf).
- Provide educational presentations on immunization at quarterly meetings.
- Submit immunization related articles to professional journals and newsletters.
- Promote CHILD Profile, Washington State's Immunization Registry.
- Develop and promote toolkits for healthcare organizations and employers to promote timely influenza vaccinations and to organize a workplace flu vaccination day.

2010
- Hosted the IACW Appreciation Awards during National Infant Immunization Week, featuring a key note address by Dr. Paul Offit. View award winners here. The IACW Awards brought together nearly 100 people from across WA state to honor individuals and organizations which have contributed to increasing access and awareness to immunizations.
- Co-hosted "Uniting to Educate & Vaccinate: A Leadership Conference on Adult Immunizations" with a keynote address by State Health Officer, Dr. Maxine Hayes. This was a first-of-its kind conference in Washington state.

- Revised Plain Talk About Childhood Immunization booklet.
- Featured Dr. Anne Schuchat, Director National Immunization Program, CDC and Dr. Maxine Hayes, Washington State Health Officer at the quarterly coalition meeting during National Infant Immunization Week, April 22, 2008: Dr. Schuchat spoke about immunizations from a national perspective, specifically touching on vaccine hesitancy and parental concerns. 2007
- Launched an online Workplace Influenza Toolkit that includes resources to help businesses organize and promote workplace flu vaccination days.
- Disseminated information about the Tdap shot through Valpak, in partnership with Safeway Pharmacy to inform consumers about pertussis, which included a coupon for $10 off at a participating Safeway Pharmacy. Reached 70,000 homes in western Washington.
- Created a Pneumonia Immunization Awareness campaign to draw attention to the importance of adult immunizations against pneumococcal disease including provider and patient education materials.
